Check in Device manager if the device is getting detected.
i. Click Start, right-click Computer, and then click Properties.
ii. Click Device Manager. Click the root computer icon, and then click Scan for hardware changes on the Actions menu.
Note If the player was installed incorrectly, the player may be listed together with a yellow exclamation mark (!). Or, it may be listed under Other devices as USB Device.
If Windows Device Manager indicates a device problem, or if the version of the player that is installed is not the current version, you must update the driver. To do this, follow these steps:
i. Right-click on device, and then click Properties.
ii. Click the Driver tab, and then click Uninstall.
iii. If it is displayed, click to select Delete the driver software for this device, and then click OK.
iv. Click the root computer icon, and then click Scan for hardware changes on the Actions menu.
v. Right-click the player and then click Properties.
vi. Click the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver.
vii. Click Browse my computer for driver software.
viii. Click Browse, locate the Program Files and then click OK.
ix. Click Next.
x. If you are prompted, click Install.
After the driver installation is complete, click close two times.
