Sega Saturn Astal Isotonic

Sep 25, 2011  Played by: Eino Kisuishou Densetsu Asutaru, (Shining Crystal Legend Astal) is Sega Saturn exclusive 2D platform game released in Japan. Astal is an underrated platformer/beat-'em-up hybrid for the Sega Saturn. The American release is notorious for lazily having the protagonist use his Japanese voice clips during gameplay, and English-dubbed voice clips (from a voice actress with a much deeper voice) in cutscenes.

I have been reading up on the Sega Saturn recently and my interest is somewhat piqued. To be honest though, aside of the slew of shoot 'em ups, beat 'em ups, and 2d fighters, are there truly engaging games? Games that you can truly enjoy and can't stop playing, with gripping enjoyable stories? With all the other consoles I own I want to be sure before I make space for a new console that I might very well forget in a month.

Then comes the question of the (frankly outrageous) prices of the games. Is there any viable option for playing burned copies of my absolutely legally purchased but obviously sealed in box original games? ;) The collection aspect of the saturn doesn't really resonate as much with me considering I've never owned one before. And before anyone says it, I'd rather play on original hardware than an emulator for various reasons.

Thanks y'all!
