Dell Xps 630i Install Xp On Ssd
Hello All, new here;
I just upgraded to a Samsung 840EVO 500GB SSD and am unable to change BIOS to AHCI. Shouldnt I be able to do this? I have BIOS version 1.0.13 (latest for my PC i believe) and it does not give me an option. Stock motherboard. Any ideas? Samsung Magician throws an error stating 'Magician cannot communicate with the Samsung SSD' it can however tell me the used space etc of the drive just no health specifics and system info. My PC seems to be faster but I definitely think it can be better. Any ideas?Thanks for the input!

Install the old SSD in your external drive enclosure. Dell XPS 15 SSD upgrade results. The benefit of updating to a faster (and larger) SSD is apparent when you run some benchmarks. Apr 08, 2002 'While this Dell system may comply with Microsoft hardware requirements it may not provide the best customer experience with Windows XP, as its BIOS & drivers will not support Windows XP to Dell's testing standards.' 'Dell will not be creating another BIOS or Drivers to support this operating system' Is this really true? I Have a dimension xps.
